We Worked For Victory, Now We’re Neglected” – Suame NDC Women’s Wing Slams MCE.

The NDC Women’s Wing in Suame Constituency of thee Ashanti region has called on party leadership to intervene over allegations of nepotism and neglect by the Suame Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah.
At a meeting held at the party office members accused the MCE of consistently awarding appointments and contracts to friends and non-party members while sidelining loyal party supporters, particularly women within the constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Constituency Women Organizer Madam Asmawu Bello, popularly known as Empress, said the grassroots had worked tirelessly to secure victory for the NDC but felt abandoned after the party came to power.
“We campaigned and sacrificed to bring the NDC to power, yet our own MCE treats party members poorly, especially the constituency executives and the Women’s Wing. Since assuming office, he has also stopped attending party activities,” she stated.
The Women’s Wing is appealing to the Ashanti Regional Executives led by Chairman Nana Kwasi, Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene, National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and President John Mahama to step in and resolve the matter.
Branch women organizers present at the meeting also voiced similar frustrations, saying the situation was demoralizing party members on the ground.
End.
