Adwumakase Residents Appeal To Otumfour Over Misconduct Of Their Chief.

Residents of Adwumakase in the Afigya Kwabre South of the Ashanti Region have made a direct appeal to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, over what they describe as the unacceptable conduct of their chief, Nana Asenso Kofo Ababio, which they say has stalled development in the community.

The appeal was made when almost all the community members clad in mourning cloth went to Manhyia Palace to seek the Asantehene’s intervention.

They allege that the indiscriminate destoolment of subchiefs at Adwumakase and actions by the chief have created tension, discouraged investors, and brought ongoing projects to a halt.

The chief’s interference and constant conflicts are scaring away support. We can no longer watch our town suffer.”

The residents speaking to the media at Manhyia Palace say the chief’s actions have undermined the authority of the unit committee.

They are asking the Asantehene to intervene and restore order to allow development to resume.

“We are the ones suffering. No jobs, no projects, no progress. We believe Otumfuo will listen and act so Adwumakase can move forward.”

The residents say they remain hopeful that the Asantehene’s intervention will resolve the impasse and bring development back on track in Adwumakase.
