GIPC Introduces New Measures To Combat Fronting For Foreign Investors.

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre has introduced new initiatives aimed at curbing fronting business registrations for foreign investors in the country.
According to the Centre, the new initiative will involve monthly educational engagements on selected radio stations across Ghana to help the public better understand GIPC laws and discourage them from participating in illegal fronting activities.
Speaking at a workshop organized by Transparency International Ghana in partnership with GIPC on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Deputy Director of GIPC, Michael Okyere, explained that fronting is causing the country to lose significant revenue and undermining the purpose of Ghana’s investment regulations.
Mr. Okyere urged the public to comply with the laws governing investment in Ghana,
The Head of Finance for Transparency International Ghana, Benedict Doh, noted that the workshop is aimed at equipping journalists to promote transparency and accountability within Ghana’s investment regime to help attract more investors into the country.
