NADMO Orders Demolition Of Weak Structures In Gomoa Jukwa Following Tragic Incident.

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), together with the Ghana Police Service in Agona Swedru, has ordered the immediate demolition of all weak and unsafe structures, popularly known as “mad houses,” in Gomoa Jukwa in the Central Region.

This directive follows the recent tragic building collapse in the area which claimed the life of a six-year-old girl and left residents in a state of fear and shock.

According to the District NADMO Officer, the exercise is aimed at preventing future disasters and protecting lives and property within the community.

He stated that owners of such dangerous structures have been given strict instructions to demolish the buildings with immediate effect or face sanctions from the authorities.

The Ghana Police Service also assured residents of their support in ensuring that the directive is fully enforced to avoid any further loss of lives.
