Rainstorm Tragedy Farmer Electrocuted While Seeking Shelter At Assin Breku.

Residents of Assin Breku in the Assin North District of the Central Region have been left in shock following the tragic death of a farmer who was electrocuted during a heavy rainstorm.
The deceased, identified as Kwabena Acquah, believed to be in his early forties and a father of three, reportedly lost his life after coming into contact with an electrified metal pole while seeking shelter from the rain.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred when the victim, who had just returned from his farm amid a heavy downpour, took refuge on a veranda.
Unbeknownst to him, a metal pole supporting the structure had become electrified, and he was electrocuted upon leaning against it.
Community members rushed to the scene and quickly transported him to a nearby health facility.
However, he was pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel.
Officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in Assin North have since visited the scene to assess the situation.
The body has been deposited at a mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Meanwhile, the police have launched investigations into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the electrocution.
