Tetretem Royal Family In Duayaw Nkwanta Pleads With Asantehene To Have A Second Look At The Committees Report.

The tetretem royal family of Duayaw nkwanta in tano north of the Ahafo region is publicly pleading with Asantehene Otumfou osei tutu to have a second look at the committees report presented to him concerning the long standing Duayaw nkwanta chieftancy disputes in the area.

Addressing the media,the family stated that, they remain the legitimate royal family of Duayaw nkwanta.they explain that the other ethnic groups including Banda,Fulani, and Gruma people later migrated to the area during the reconstruction of old buildings and eventually formed what is known as the Awompi family, says the tetretem royal family in Duayaw nkwanta as they do not want their beloved town to Duayaw nkwanta to be counted among the war zones in Ghana because they are not ready to make their good People go through war against each other and they believe the king the Asantehene Otumfou osei tutu will hear them and make sure the right thing is done in Duayaw nkwanta in tano north of the Ahafo region.

The family warned that any attempt by the Awompi Family to enstool a chief in Duayaw Nkwanta could heighten tensions in the area, insisting that they would also enstool their own chief if such action is taken.

They called on the Regional Security Council, Municipal Security Council and the National Security Council to intervene and ensure peace in Duayaw Nkwanta.

The statement was signed on behalf of the Tetretem Royal Family by Nana Akyereko Kwadjan, Abusuapanin of Tetretem, Nana Ofori Adu, Secretary of Tetretem

Nana Akosua Nyarko, women spokesperson for the Tetretem Royal Family, appealed to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to go beyond the committee’s report, insisting that the findings presented did not accurately reflect what transpired during the committee sittings when the family appeared before the panel.
