A Seventeen (17)yr-Old Mfantsipim Student Found Hanging At OLA North Site.

An apparent suicide of a 17-year-old Mfantsipim Senior High School student in cape coast of the central region was discovered at an uncompleted building in OLA North on Thursday, 11 June 2026.
According to Police report, said a carpenter working on the site found the decomposed body at about 4:45 pm and reported it to officers at 17:30 hours.
When detectives and the complainant returned to the scene, they found the male youth hanging by a cloth in the structure.
Chief Inspector, Isaac Evans Ettie, PRO Central Regional Police Command briefing the media,a search of the scene yielded a black backpack containing a mock examination paper (Geography Paper 1 2026) bearing the name Emmanuel Arthur, along with a small feature phone, an Android smartphone and other personal items. Photographs of the scene and body were taken by police investigators.
Mfantsipim School authorities were contacted and later confirmed the deceased as Emmanuel Arthur, a final-year student at the school. The boy’s parents were also notified.
The pathologist at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital declared the body decomposed.
He added that, the Central and Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly’s Environmental Health Directorate attended and fumigated the location.
Police removed the body and handed it over to the family, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
Family has buried their son right after the degree of the decomposition body was handed over.
