Former Afram Plains North MP Hails Dr. Pamela Graham’s Historic Appointment As Ghana’s First Female Auditor-General.

Former Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North and aspiring National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Mrs. Seyram Betty Krosbi Mensah, has congratulated Dr. Pamela Graham on her historic appointment as Ghana’s first female Auditor-General.

In a congratulatory message, Hon. Krosbi Mensah said she joined millions of Ghanaians in celebrating Dr. Graham’s appointment and swearing-in by as the 11th Auditor-General of the Republic of Ghana and the first woman to occupy the constitutional office.

“I have every confidence in your capacity to excel in this important national assignment,” she stated.

According to her, Dr. Graham’s appointment is not only a personal achievement but also a powerful affirmation that women possess the competence, integrity, and leadership qualities needed to excel when given the opportunity.

She noted that under President Mahama’s leadership, Ghana continues to witness the practical implementation of the Affirmative Action Act, creating greater opportunities for women to serve in key leadership positions.

Hon. Krosbi Mensah said the appointment sends a strong message that women are increasingly breaking barriers in public service and governance, encouraging more young women and girls to pursue leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to national development.

She described the appointment as a victory for women and girls across the country, saying Dr. Graham’s achievement demonstrates that hard work, competence, and merit are recognised and rewarded.

She expressed confidence that Dr. Graham would leave a lasting legacy at the Ghana Audit Service by strengthening transparency, accountability, and good governance.

Hon. Krosbi Mensah concluded by wishing Dr. Graham God’s wisdom, strength, and integrity as she assumes the responsibilities of the high office, expressing optimism that her tenure would inspire future generations of women leaders.
