Tragedy At Suame Post Office: Fire Kills 15 Year- Old Boy Razes 6 Bedrooms.

A 15-year-old boy, Alhasan Asan , has been burnt beyond recognition after a midnight fire razed a residential building of 6 bedroom at Suame Post Office in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred around 1:00am today when the fire broke out while the occupants were fast asleep.
The Aunty , Nana Akua say the fire spread quickly, engulfing the entire building before help could arrive.

Residents who rushed to the scene said they heard screams but could not rescue Asan in time. He was trapped in the blaze and burnt beyond recognition.
The fire also destroyed household items and personal belongings worth thousands of cedis.

The incident has thrown the Suame Post Office community into mourning. Residents described the deceased as a calm and well-behaved boy.
“It was around 1am. We saw smoke and fire everywhere. By the time we got there, it was too late. We are all shocked,” a resident lamented.

Officers from Breman Ghana National Fire Service later arrived to bring the fire under control, even though when they arrived there was no water in the tanker.The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

The police have since deposited the remains at the morgue for preservation and identification, as investigations continue.
