Nigerian Sex Worker Jumps From 3-Storey Building, Dies During Police Swoop At Atonsu.

A Nigerian national has died after falling from a three-storey building during a raid by the IGP’s Special Operations Team at Atonsu in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

According to eyewitnesses, the operation targeted a section of suspected sex workers in the area.

Sources say upon seeing the police team, the woman panicked and jumped from the top floor of the building. She landed on her head and died instantly.

“The team had come to arrest some of the girls. When she saw them, she ran and jumped from the 3th floor. Her head hit the ground,” an eyewitness recounted.

The IGP Special Operations Team was able to arrest the rest of the suspected sex workers during the operatiion.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy, while investigations continue.

Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased.

Residents of Atonsu say the area has become a hotspot for such activities and are calling for regular swoops to restore order.
