The Eastern South Divisional Police Command has arrested a 35 year old by name Obolo for butchering a 35 year old Kwame Marfo at Kwahu Besease in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region.

According to Kwasi Ofei a junior brother of now hospitalized Kwame Marfo, an eyewitness for the police command speaking to the media said, there is no proper misunderstanding between the two but it generated last Thursday 10th September,2026 evening when the suspect’s wife called on them on Wednesday 9th September to speak to their friend on her behalf because the suspect is seizing her and their children to sleep in their room which has been their habitat for years long.

Kwasi Ofei narrating the incident said, his brother Kwame Marfo and a friend Kofi went to plead on the wife’s behalf, but Obolo, now in Police custody suspected that his wife had gone to call on area boys to come and beat him up, so he open the door with machete in his hands.

Kwasi Ofei, told Angel Fm TV’s Oheneba Siaw that they tried speaking with him which the suspect did not gave way for them to do so hence threatened them with the machete so they took to their heels and fled the scene.

According to him, the suspect had earlier on gone to the other Kofi who came with Kwame Marfo to deal with him but did not met him destroyed his plantain farm and called him on phone to tell him, he had come to meet him, he the suspect would have butchered him like how he has destroyed his plantain farm.

After that unlawful act, came to met Kwame Marfo at home and started inflicting the sharpened machete wounds on him.

On his part, a Unit Committee Member in the area, Mr. Patrick Agyei commended the youth for teeming up and caused the arrest of Obolo to had him over to the police to fae the full rigors of the law.
