Deputy Energy Minister Join Stakeholders To Lanuch Rural Eletricity Acceleration Under The Big Push Project In Oti.

The member of paramount for gomoa West constituency in the Central region who double as the deputy energy minister *HON RICHARD GYAN MENSAH* has joined the various stakeholders at dambai the OTI regional capital to launch the rural electricity acceleration and urban intensification initiative project

According to him the government and his excellency president *JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA* is doing everything possible to ensure that electricity is extended to all parts of the country by the end of 2028

He added that electricity is important in our daily lives because everybody needs electricity to do their business especially welders,shop owners,households etc

He said electricity helps us in the society when it comes to issues of security it also helps to provide jobs for the youth and residents

He said initiative is taking place in four regions in the country including *savannah region, *central region,volta region and oti region* and they are targeting about 90 communities in all the nine district in oti region and it is estimated at three hundred million Ghana cedis

He used the opportunity to call on everybody to get involved and be a watchdog because the project is estimated at three hundred million Ghana cedis which is a huge sums of money so chiefs should also take part and get involved during the initiative

They should support the workers and also help protect the materials that are going to be used
