Two People  Died In An Accident In A Fuel Tanker And Tricycle  Crash At Denkrira Nyinawusu

Two people were confirmed dead by the National Ambulance Service after the bodies were extricated by Diaso Fire personnel from an accident involving a Tricycle called ‘Abobo Yaa’ and a Fuel Tanker at Denkyira Nyinawusu.

The Fire personnel who received the call around 1205hrs this afternoon rushed to the scene and also informed the National Ambulance Service with the hope of saving some lives.

After the fire personnel extricated the two male riders, they were handed over to the National Ambulance Service who intend handed over to the Ghana Police Service for preservation and further investigation.

According to eye witnesses, the Tanker that was traveling from Accra to Subin, developed a fault and was parked by a road side when the tricycle initiated the curve and ran into the stationary Tanker.

After the extrication, the fire personnel had to manage the leaking Tanker from fire outbreak and to prevent explosion. They engaged in temporal cooling of the Tanker whiles waiting for another Tanker to arrive and discharge the content in the Tanker.

The police are also directing road users as half of the road has been blocked by the incident.
