Over 50 To 60 Years Now Without Network In Obanda This Twenty First Century Eil Chief Laments 

The Chief of OBANDA a farming community in the Nkwanta south municipality Oti region NANA AKORA BADU II has expressed worry to the pass government saying the community in the biggest cocoa growing settlement within the Nkwanta south municipality but they luck a lot of social amenities and worst of it is network.

According to the chief they have to climb mountains and trees in search of network just to communicate with their relatives in the big cities which has become a challenge for their youth not being able to access the internet meanwhile we are now in the digitized world.

He added that since the area is a cocoa growing settlement,most of the roads leading to their farms are also in a bad state making farmers find it difficult transporting their cocoa to the nearest selling point.

He is therefore appealing to his excellency the president elect JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA to listen to their cry because the votes count here was massive for him.

The assembly member for the OBANDA electoral area hon ofori Kennedy has also mentioned some challenges such as extension of electricity to the new sights since the community has developed and to extend light to those areas.

He used the opportunity to beg the government to come the area and help solve their problems for them

They made this appeal during a victory walk organized by NDC supporters in the area.
