Ensuring Tight Security Toase Residents Commission Police Station For Ghana Police Service
Toase residents have built and commissioned an ultramodern Police Station and handed over to the Ghana Police Service.
The beautiful commissioned storey building police station was built by the Toase Development Association which constitute of both Diaspora and local based natives of the community.
Speaking to the media during the commission, the Nkosuohene of Toase who also is the former C.E.O for the Toase Development Association, Dr. Anthony Osei Twumasi, said they wanted to help the security personnel curb or bring under control the high level of insecurity situation in Toase.
He said, “at first there used to be indiscriminate robbery cases, and other vices troubling the residents or the community”.
“This situation mostly influenced our decision to construct this police station as part of our corporate social responsibilities to help bring that situation under control.
The chief of Toase, Nana Yim Awere Ababio, on his part expressed joy over the beautiful edifice and as well commended the association for such move.
He urged the Ghana Police Service to take good care of the edifice and upgrade the police station to a either a district or divisional headquarters.
Finally, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Frank Abrokwa, pledged their full commitment to ensuring a tight security in the community and to taking a good care of the facility.
