We Are So Greateful To President Mahama For Reducing Haji Fares 

The zongo chief of Nkwanta in the Nkwanta south municipality Oti region ni the person of ALHAJI ISAHAKA IBRAHIM KAYABA A K A ALHAJI BAYAAWA has on behalf of Muslims in Nkwanta and Oti expressed their gratitude to his excellency president John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his campaign promises made to them during his tour in the region

According to him the Muslim community is so grateful to President Mahama for the reduction in the Hajj fares.

They explained, the reduction in the Hajj fares for this year will reduce the burden on the Muslim community

The government has reduced the fare for the annual Hajj pilgrimage from GH₵75,000 to GH₵62,000 for Ghanaian Muslims

They explained, the continues increase in the Hajj fares over the years makes it difficult for some of their members to participate, says the reduction in the fares will contribute to a greater number of participation in this year.

He is also advising the youth saying we are entering the holy month Ramadan so the youth should observe this month as such and stay away from all forms of violence that will destroy the peace we are praying for in Nkwanta south.
