Adum Market Traders Defy Warnings To ‘Rebuild’ After Devastating Fire

Traders at the Adum Bluelight Market have begun reconstructing makeshift stalls, defying official warnings against rebuilding after a devastating fire destroyed parts of the market.

The blaze, which swept through the area late last month, reduced goods worth thousands of cedis to ashes, leaving many traders struggling to recover.

City authorities had cautioned against immediate reconstruction, citing the need for a full investigation into the cause of the fire and plans for a safer rebuilding process.
But for some traders, waiting is not an option.

Some of the traders spoke to Angel Tv News reporter Bismark Mensah
