Tension Soars In Assin South As Aggrieved NDC Supporters Invoke Curses Over Alleged Election Rigging

Tension is running high in Assin South as NDC supporters, feeling aggrieved and betrayed, have invoked curses on the Electoral Commission,

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour (MP-Elect), and the NDC party’s leadership in the area. They believe the election was rigged, and that their candidate, Stephan Kofi Baidoo , was robbed of his rightful victory.

The supporters claim that some key NDC members, collaborated with the NPP and the EC to manipulate the results. This stems from an accusation that some NDC leadership openly campaigned against the party’s candidate, Kofi Baidoo.

In a dramatic display of their outrage, the supporters, led by Chief Priestess Nana Yaa, performed a ritual at the river Asupanin, invoking curses on those they believed were involved in the alleged rigging. The curses, which included wishes for death in car accidents and blindness, were made using schnapps and eggs.

Some disgruntled supporters are also questioning the election’s legitimacy, convinced that the outcome doesn’t accurately represent the people’s true votes, and they suspect foul play.
