Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah Enters NDC National Women Organizer Race.

Former Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, Hon. Betty Nana Efua Krosbi Mensah, has declared her intention to contest the position of National Women Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Declaring her bid ahead of the party’s National Executive elections on December 12, 2026, Hon. Krosbi Mensah said the time has come for a strong, dynamic and dedicated voice to lead the women’s wing of the party.

“Our party’s strength lies in the heart, resilience, and unity of our women.

As we prepare to seek for inclusion and empowerment, we need a strong, dynamic, and dedicated voice to lead, organize, and empower women across every branch and constituency in Ghana,” she stated.

According to her, she steps forward with a clear vision: to champion women’s economic empowerment, strengthen local branch organizing, and build a vibrant, inclusive women’s wing ready for the continuous progress of the National Democratic Congress.

“Together, we will build a women’s wing that wins,” she added.

Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah served as MP for Afram Plains North from 2017 to 2025. A gender advocate and development practitioner, she previously served as Gender and Development Coordinator of the Ghana Cooperative Credit Union and as Deputy Coordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme.

She has also served as Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and Chairperson of the Black Queens B Management Committee.

Party watchers describe her as a formidable grassroots organizer with deep experience in mobilizing women in deprived and hard-to-reach communities, having represented over 575 communities, including island communities on the Volta Lake.

Her campaign is expected to focus on training and resourcing branch and constituency women organizers, rolling out economic empowerment programmes for women, and ensuring greater inclusion and recognition for women at all levels of the party.
