“I Wish The Constitution Would Permit Mahama To Serve Another Term”- Joshua Akamba.

The former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Akamba, has expressed his wish that Ghana’s Constitution would allow former President John Dramani Mahama to contest for an additional term in office.

According to him, Ghana needs experienced leadership like that of Mr. Mahama to accelerate national development and improve livelihoods.

Mr. Akamba made these remarks while speaking to the press during an inspection of the proposed site for 24-hour market project at Gomoa Buduburam in the Gomoa East District.

He noted that the project, when completed, would stand as one of the ultra-modern markets in the area.

He further cautioned the contractor handling the project to avoid unnecessary delays, warning that any form of delay tactics could lead to termination of the contract.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East, Margaret Naana Ackom, emphasized that the market project is expected to generate employment opportunities for the youth in the district.

She explained that some local youth would be engaged during the construction phase, while many more would secure jobs after the completion of the project due to increased commercial activities.

In addition, the Central Regional Member of the Council of State, His Excellency Habib Hakeem, commended President Mahama for fulfilling a key campaign promise made to the people of Gomoa East and the Central Region at large.
