Residents of Ahyiresu in the Atwima Mponua District are in fear and are calling for peace between them and their new chief after thugs have allegedly being coming to the community.
Residents of Ahyiresu in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region are calling for peace as tension continues to rise between them and their chief.
Addressing the media at a press conference, the convenor Elder Emmanuel Addo revealed that they have recently witnessed alleged thugs deployed by the chief to threaten and instil fear in the residents.
He stated that ever since the enstoolment of the current chief, life has become extremely difficult for the people of the community.
The residents are also appealing to the Paramount Chief of Nkawie, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, and the Ghana Police Service to urgently intervene before a terrible incident occurs, especially at Abofrem.
