Power Is Transient, Stop Abusing The Opposition And Use Your Power Reasonably – Weija Gbawe Mp To The Bono Regional Minister And The NDC Party.

The Second Deputy Minority Whip of Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Weija Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has advised the NDC to exercise their current political power wisely and judiciously, as power is transient.

He emphasized that the ongoing harassment and use of state security to intimidate NPP members will eventually cease.

During the “Yensuro Ahunahuna” demonstration organized by the Bono Regional branch of the NPP in Sunyani, the capital of the Bono region, the Weija Gbawe MP expressed concern that the NDC leadership is wielding their power arrogantly, weaponizing state institutions against the minority, and engaging in the indiscriminate arrest of NPP members.

He cautioned them to desist from such actions, as the power they currently hold will eventually transition to the NPP.

Mr. Abdul Razack Oppong, the Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his dissatisfaction and called upon President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fulfill their campaign promises.

He emphasized that the NPP youth will not remain passive while the NDC makes the country ungovernable.

He stated that the NPP youth strongly oppose coups d’état; however, the persistent arrests and intimidation of NPP members by the NDC government may drive them to emulate the actions witnessed in Burkina Faso and Côte D’Ivoire, which liberated their youth from unwarranted hardships and assaults by their political leadership.

He underscored that they would intensify their protests to seek their liberation.
