Residents Of Mensakrom Congo Cry Out For Potable Drinking Water.

Residents of Mensakrom Congo, a suburb of Tepa Anyinasu in the Ahafo Ano North Municipal of the Ashanti region, have made a passionate appeal to authorities for the provision of potable drinking water, describing the situation as a serious threat to their health and wellbeing.

According to the residents, the community has been without a reliable source of clean drinking water for a long time.

This has forced women and children to trek long distances daily in search of water from an old and unsafe well, which serves as their main source for drinking and other household activities.

Community members expressed concern about the health implications of relying on such a water source, noting that the quality of the water is questionable and could expose them to waterborne diseases.

They revealed that several complaints have been lodged with the local Assembly Member, but no concrete action has been taken to address the problem.

Frustrated by the lack of response, the residents are now calling on the Member of Parliament for the area, Eric Nana Agyeman Prempeh, the Municipal Chief Executive, Kwasi Adusei, and the central government to urgently intervene and provide them with safe and accessible drinking water.

The residents emphasized that access to potable water is a basic necessity and urged authorities to treat their plight as a matter of urgency to safeguard their health and improve their living conditions.
