Atwima Nwahiagya North DCE Prioritizes Security, Pledges Logistics Support For Agencies To Safeguard The District.

The District Chief Executive of Atwima Nwahiagya North, Hon. Mba Zakaria, has declared that ensuring the safety and security of residents will be the top priority of his administration.

Addressing assembly members during a recent meeting in Barekese, Hon. Zakaria emphasized that sustainable development cannot thrive in an environment of insecurity.

He announced that the assembly will provide critical logistics and modern equipment to security agencies within the district to enhance their operational capacity and response time.

“Peace is the foundation of every thriving community. We are committed to equipping our police, military, and other security bodies with the tools they need from vehicles to communication devices, so they can protect lives and property effectively,”he stated.

Hon. Zakaria revealed that the district has already established strong collaboration between security agencies, traditional authorities, and community leaders, creating a unified front against crime and disorder.

He credited this partnership for the relative calm and stability currently being enjoyed in most communities.

He assured residents that the District Security Council (DISEC) will continue to hold regular engagements and implement proactive strategies to maintain peace and order, particularly in high-risk and rapidly developing areas.

The DCE also called on residents to play an active role by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities promptly.

“Security is a shared responsibility. While the assembly and security agencies do their part, we need the cooperation of every citizen to succeed,”he added.
