Tension Rises At NPP Office In Tepa Over Vetting Process.

Tension is mounting within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality following allegations of irregularities in an ongoing vetting process.

Aggrieved party members have accused constituency executives of conducting what they describe as an “illegal and unprocedural” vetting exercise.

According to the dissatisfied membes, the vetting was officially scheduled to take place between April 25 and April 31, 2026.

However, they claim the process did not occur within the stipulated period, nor were they given any prior communication regarding changes or postponements.

The situation escalated when, unexpectedly, some aspirants were contacted and asked to appear for vetting without adequate notice, raising concerns about transparency and fairness in the process.

The aggrieved members argue that the lack of proper communication and deviation from the agreed timeline undermine internal democracy within the party.

They are therefore calling for urgent intervention from both regional and national leadership of the party to address the matter and restore confidence in the system.

The group has further warned that failure to resolve the issue promptly could lead to disaffection among grassroots supporters, which may negatively impact the party’s unity and electoral fortunes in the constituency.

End.
