2026 Guan Congress Launched At Anum Aims To Harmonize Resources In Guan Communities For developments.

The Guan tribe in Ghana has launched its 2026 Guan Congress at Anum in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern Region aimed at harmonizing the resources in the Guan Communities across the country for inclusive and sustainable development.
Speaking at the launch, Akusiaku -Brempong Kumi Sasraku Viii, Paramount Chief of Anum Traditional Area noted that, the Guan language, culture among other things should be protected for generations for easy identification.
According to him, Anum Traditional Area still lacks developments for the past 30 years when the Guan Congress was held at Anum which he believes cometh 2026 GUAN CONGRESS in August at Anum , will help solve all challenges in the Guan Communities across the country.
He therefore urged all Guans to reflect on their achievements, rethink their priorities and work together for the development and future success of the Guan People.
Enyineh Gyadu Nkansah III Ankobeahene of Larteh Ahenase and National President of Guan Congress in an interview stated that, it’s time for the Guans to be out of the dark days and unite for development across all Guan communities with their resources since they are known as the Aborigins of Ghana.
He therefore called on all Guans in Ghana and the diaspora to support the initiative for the development of Guan Communities.
Barimah Dr Obeng Dompreh, Achempem-Hene of Anum Traditional Area and local Chairman of Guan Congress in an interview stated that, all Guans in the country should make it a date to Anum in the Asuogyaman district date on 14th to 16th August 2026 to deliberate on the success of Guan Communities with its resources.
