Two Severely Injured After Truck Crashes Into Civic Centre Shop.

Two people sustained severe injuries Yesterday,13th June,2026.

when a cargo truck crashed into a shop at the Ho Civic Centre after losing control descending Galenkui Hill at Ho Bankoe.

Eyewitnesses reported the truck appeared to be speeding before it veered into the left lane, mounted the pavement, and collided with the shop.

The injured — an unidentified man and woman were transported to hospital for treatment.

Motorists at the scene suggested brake failure may have contributed to the incident.

The driver of the truck, bearing registration number GE 5963-23, left the scene and has not been located, according to initial accounts.

Two men traveling in a tricycle struck by the truck were unhurt.

The incident has renewed concerns about safety on Galenkui Hill.

Approximately 18 months ago, a head-on collision between a mini-bus descending the hill and a heavy-duty truck traveling in the opposite direction resulted in 10 fatalities at the scene.
