Military Truck, STC bus Crash Victims Referred To Komfo Anokye After Treatment At Nkenkensu Hospital.

One military officer and the driver of an STC bus who were injured in Sunday’s collision between a military truck and an STC bus have been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after receiving emergency treatment at the Nkenkensu Government Hospital.

The accident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. on Sunday between Daaso and Nkenkensu in the Ashanti Region.

The military truck was reportedly transporting soldiers deployed to Bawku when it collided with the STC bus.

Medical Superintendent of the Nkenkensu Government Hospital, Dr. Samuel Freeman, told sompa News that the two injured victims a soldier and the STC bus driver were brought to the facility shortly after the crash.

According to Dr. Freeman, the hospital’s medical team successfully stabilized both patients before referring them to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for further specialist care.

The cause of the accident is yet to be officially established, while investigations are expected to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.
