Suspected Rapist Butchered To Death By Victim’s Brother At Akyem Batabi.

Yaw Nyarko, a 40year old suspected rapist has been butchered to death by the victim’s brother, Bismarck Gbafa (28years) after unsuccessfully attacking his senior sister, Celina Gbafa, (35years) on her way home from the farm early morning at Akyem Batabi in the Asene Manso Akroso district of the Eastern region.

According to the victim’s brother, Bismarck Gbafa who is currently in Akyem Oda police custody assisting investigation, his sister Celina Gbafa came home panting and informed him that Yaw Nyarko who is even on a wanted list of the Akyem Manso police for stealing hit her from the back with a stick on her way back home from the farm early morning and attempted to rape her.

Celina narrated to her brother that she managed to struggle with the suspect after felling down together with her farm items in a pan when she was struck from behind.

She elaborated that she managed to pick her pan and struggled with the suspect when he picked up her cutlass and tried to butcher her because he asked her to allow him have sex with him but she refused.

After a few minutes of struggle with Yaw Nyarko, she managed to ran for her life and on reaching home, she told her brother Bismarck Gbafa who got angered, took a matche and chased the suspect in the bush.

The suspect Yaw Nyarko was still hiding in the bush so Bismarck saw him and quickly ran to him, butchered him until he bled to death.

On realizing that Yaw Nyarko is dead, Bismarck went home to officially informed the Akim Oda police about the incident and he’s been put into police cells, assisting investigation into the matter.

The deceased body has then been taken to the morgue in Akim Oda government hospital by the police for further investigation to authenticate the true story.
