Local Governance Seek For Peace And Harmony For A Successful Regime- Oboguman Hemaa To MCE.
The Paramount Queen Mother of Obogu Traditional Area, Nana Afua Opokua II, is cautioning the Municipal Chief Executive of the Asante Akyem South Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah to allow peace and Co- Existence in her ruin as a political leader in the area.
The Queen Mother’s caution comes at the back of a renewed rivalry tension between the MCE and the Boys believe to be an opposition Boys at Obogu a community in the Asante Akyem South Municipality.
The renewed tension was triggered when 4 persons claiming to be national security officers with the municipal chief executive Hon. Maame Sarfoa Appiah invaded the obogu township beating the boys who they believe nis in opposition to the MCE which led 3 persons injured on Sunday 23rd August, 2026.
One of the injured persons Oscar Aniakwa speaking to the media said, the initially assorted his senior brother Akwasi Ampofo on allegation of careless Driving and have also slaps the MCE on the road upon confronted.
Mr. Oscar Aniakwa further said, the men’s accusations was unfounded hence they stood in the defense and prevented them from their brother whom they have mercilessly beaten and trying to him up with them to an unknown place, brought the incident.
Granting media interview on the incident, Nana Afia Pokua II said, she has not witnessed such barbaric and uncalled for situation like this in their enclave hence the MCE should put herself together to allow peace and harmony to exist between the Obogu Township so she can pursue ruling as the MCE in the Municipality.
She also called on the government and the party leadership of the NDC to called Hon. Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Asante Akyem South Municipality to order or else she will make the government unpopular in the Municipality.
