Awutu Akrampa Community Hit With Serious Water Crisis, Chief Calls For Immediate Intervention

The chief for Awutu Akrampa in the Awutu Senya West district Nai kojo Yamoah has appealed on the assembly and other stakeholders to come to their aid as the community faces serious water crises.
Awutu Akrampa is community within Awutu Senya West District with significant of it population engage in trading but the commity with over 1,000 population is seriously facing water challenge over decade now.
The chief of Awutu Akrampa in an interview with Opanyin Darko during Awutu Akrampa ‘Black stool festival celebration, on the theme ‘Let as come together and build the community’ , the chief has appealed for immediate intervention from DCE, MP and government, adding that the tap water flows once in every month which is not happening the residents in the community.
The chief has also ordered the assembly to demolish every structure built in waterways to help prevent floodings in the area.
Meanwhile, the DCE for Awutu Senya West District, Kalala Eghan has urged the chief and the people to exercise patience as the contractor working on the dualization of kasoa – Winneba highway has disconnect all the pipes that connect water to the community.
He assured them that, the assembly will provide water tank vehicle to supply the community with water till the contractor finish the work on the roroad.
