Upper Denkyira West Mp Appeals For Completion Of Abandoned Diaso Shs Projects

Rudolf Amoako-Gyampa, Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West Constituency in the central region, has made an urgent appeal to the government to complete the abandoned projects at Diaso Senior High School.

The projects include boys and girls dormitories, teachers’ quarters, and residential bungalows for the headmistress and assistant headmasters.

The abandoned projects, initiated under the previous administration, have been left unattended, negatively impacting the school’s academic performance.

Overcrowding in dormitories and lack of staff accommodation have created difficult conditions for both students and staff.

Amoako-Gyampa emphasized that education is a cornerstone for development and that the future of young people in Upper Denkyira West must not be compromised due to incomplete projects.

Amoako-Gyampa urged the government to prioritize the completion of these projects, citing the principle of governance continuity.

He believes that successive governments have a responsibility to complete ongoing or abandoned projects, regardless of which administration started them.

Meanwhile, Amoako-Gyampa specifically urged President John Dramani Mahama, the Minister of Education, and the GETFUND administrator to intervene and bring the contractors back to the site to complete the project.

He believes that the completion of these projects would not only benefit the people of Upper Denkyira West but also serve as a center of academic excellence for the entire region.

RUDOLF AMOAKO-GYAMPA, MP, UPPER DENKYIRA WEST.

End.
