Monitoring And Findings Meeting Of Bono East Regional Co-Ordinating Council

The Bono East regional coordinating council on Thursday September 4, held their second quarter Dissemination of monitoring and findings across the regions meeting at the conference hall of the Regional coordinating council office (RCC) at Techiman the Bono East capital.

The aim is to see the performance of the various MMDCEs and all the assembly’s work of progress in the region and also how to improve development in the region.

In commencement of the summit, the council was officially sworn in by a judge from the high court his lordship Osei Gyamfi, and then was inaugurated by the Bono East regional minister Honourable Owusu Francis Antwi.

He therefore went on to address the summit as he pointed to many key initiatives introduced by the government, and then the achievements and plans of the government about the region.

Thereafter, the dissemination process begins and reports indicated some major bad activities and actions of certain citizens who pollute our natural resources like the river bodis and governmental projects.

So speaking with the Regional Environmental Protection Agency personnel, Mr. Lamptey Gyan addressed the behavior to be disheartened and unacceptable, so he called on citizens to desist from the act as a by-law has been enacted to get anyone found guilty on the act.

Lastly the regional minister pointed to how the government has targeted to improve education in the region as plans have been set to build a new technical university in the region.
