Stop Serving Poorly Prepared Food For School Children- DCE Tells Caterers

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Awutu Senya West, Hon. Kalala Eghan Nyamekye, has visited several basic schools in the district to assess the effectiveness of the School Feeding Program.
His tour focused on inspecting how meals are prepared by caterers and ensuring the food served to students is both nutritious and appetizing.
Angel news In an interview with the DCE Hon. Kalala Nyamekye emphasized that caterers must treat the students like their own children cooking meals with care and qualquality.
He warned against serving poorly prepared food, urging caterers to maintain high standards and avoid meals that wouldn’t be acceptable in their own homes.
The DCE also highlighted the government’s recent increase in the feeding grant from GH₵1.50 to GH₵2.00 per student.
He expressed hope that the amount would continue to rise, potentially reaching GH₵5.00 in the future to further improve the quality of meals.
He also share some excises books ,pens, pencil, rulers to some of the basic schools as my first day at school to help the parents.
Angel news spoke with some Caterers and kitchen staff and they expressed their appreciation for the increment, noting that it would help them continue preparing better meals.
They also appealed to the government for further support to meet rising food costs and maintain quality.
