Headteacher Appeals For Completion Of 14yrs Abandoned School Block At Kokwaado

The Chiefs and Management of Kokwaado M/A Basic School in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Municipal of the Central Region are appealing to the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu,to urgently complete and commission a GETfund block abandoned for 14 years.

Mr. Elvis Appiey, the headteacher, described the neglected block as unsafe and unsuitable for pupils.

Speaking to AngelTV News, he revealed when the pupils receives donations of learning materials such as books, pencils, and pens from benevolent,a foundation; added that the school remains in dire need of government intervention to address the dilapidated building,the school block has missing roofing sheets and structures in a deplorable state, posing serious safety risks to the children.

The Chief of Kokwaado Community, Nana Kwansah (III), has urged the government to provide more support for community’s school while pledging a full scholarship for any brilliant child,he also expressed dissatisfaction with the school’s current academic performance and called on teachers in the area to put in their best efforts to improve pupils’ results.

The Director of the RichLove Foundation, Madam Richlove Asare, has reiterated the foundation’s strong commitment to addressing critical challenges affecting schoolchildren and farmers in rural villages.

Our visit here today is present these learning materials to children to support their education and offer a free breast cancer screening for mothers as this month has been devoted for breast cancer awareness.

Madam Asare further appeals government, especially in supplying more farming inputs to rural farmers,she pointed out that farmers continue to face inadequate fertilizer supply, which significantly hampers their agricultural productivity.

In her conclusion, Madam RichLove Asare described the situation as pressing and called on the government to take decisive measures to address these challenges effectively.
