The aspiring National President of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Prosper Takyi, has officially launched his campaign ahead of the 2026 presidential election.
Takyi, who currently serves as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of GNAT, aims to leverage his experience to secure the welfare and well-being of teachers across the country.
As a seasoned leader, Takyi highlighted his achievements in securing insurance for teachers in the Ashanti Region and expressed his determination to extend these benefits nationwide.
He emphasized the need for a proactive leader to drive initiatives that promote teachers’ career advancement and overall well-being.
Takyi also addressed the pressing issue of teachers harassing students, cautioning that any teacher found guilty of such behavior would face the full force of the law without hesitation.
He urged teachers to remain committed to their duties and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
As part of his campaign, Takyi promised to create more opportunities for teachers’ growth and development, ensuring that they are equipped to provide quality education to their students.
With his vision for a better teaching profession, Takyi is seeking the support of delegates to become the next National President of GNAT.
