Channel Your Donations Into Education Instead Of Funerals – Education Minister To Co-operate Entities
The Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Harunah Iddrisu,has urged all corporate entities to redirect and channel all donations into education instead of funerals as part of their co operate social responsibilities.
Speaking at Adukrom at the commissioning of a renovated classroom block with a newly built KG block and fence wall at Gloria Boatema Dadey Nifa Basic School by KGL Foundation, he stated that most corporate entities are interested in donating to funerals as part of their corporate social responsibilities instead of investing such amounts into education in their area, which needs urgent attention.
According to him, government needs collaboration and partnership from communities and corporate entities to support the development of education in the country, as done by the Adukroman and KGL Foundation.
He applauded the KGL Foundation for investing in education and bringing hope to the pupils of Nifa Basic School at Adukrom in the Okere district.
The Executive Chairman of KGL Foundation, lAlex Apau Dadey, stated that they will adopt the school and take all the costs of its maintenance and resources to improve quality education in the Okere district.
