Drop Your Weapons And Vote With Wisdom” – Nyankyerenease Nkosuohene Warns Ahead Of NPP Presidential Primaries

The Nyankyerenease Nkosuohene, Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Barima Kese, has issued a strong call for peace and wisdom ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for Saturday, 31 January 2026, warning that failure to act responsibly could lead to violence.
Speaking in a one-on-one interview with Angel Breaking News host, Ali Baba, Nana Adu Gyamfi said he had received a message from God to caution Ghana’s political leaders, particularly members of the NPP, that “Ghana belongs to Ghanaians, and the true owner of Ghana is God, the Creator of heaven and earth.”
According to him, political leaders are merely representatives chosen by God and must therefore lead with humility, responsibility, and concern for the ordinary citizen.
The traditional leader questioned the conduct of political actors who profess love for Ghanaians yet, in his view, create conditions that lead to conflict and loss of life.
Nana Adu Gyamfi further appealed to security agencies and the general public not to allow themselves to be manipulated by politicians, stressing that peace must be protected before, during, and after the primaries.
He also highlighted the irony of politicians spending huge sums of money on campaign materials while many citizens struggle to meet basic needs.
Addressing the youth, Nana Adu Gyamfi urged them to participate in the primaries peacefully and return home safely after voting.
Go and vote and leave the place in peace. God wants a leader who thinks about the poor and those at the bottom,” he said .
He send a stern warning that without divine intervention, the NPP presidential primaries could turn violent.
