Danger Looms As Galamsey Activities Destroyed The Only Source Of Drinking Water In Nyanoa – Chief Raises Concern.

Severe water crises hits Akyem Nyanoa near Awutu Bawjiase as Galamsey Activities is reported to have destroyed the only source of drinking water (River Ayensu) in the area.

According to the Odikro of Akyem Nyanoa Berimah Okyere Opoku ll Nyanoa community has a population of over 3000 inhabitants and depend solely on the Ayensu river for survival but due to the illegal mining activities the river is polluted and residents are suffering to get drinking water.

Berimah Okyere Opoku ll made the appeal when speaking with Angel TV news today at Nyanoa during the celebration of Akwasidae.

Moreover, Berimah Okyere Opoku ll further commends president John Mahama for introducing Fugu as Wednesday wear in order to boost the socioeconomic development of the country.
