Ghana’s Performance On Women Freedom Is Abysmal – Comfort Doyoe.

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada and President of Women Caucus in Parliament, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah has stressed the need for women protection since Ghana’s performance for women freedom is abysmal.

She further explained that, according to Global Report by United Nations (UN) is disheartening that, out of 188 countries on women freedom, Ghana places 149 position which is very poor. She said.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, during 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) which is celebrating from March 8th to April 8th respectively.

She claimed the women caucus in Parliament will report to President Mahama and Speaker Bagbin that Ghana’s performance in global report by UN is abysmal so therefore “No Male should contest Female MP’s in 2028 general elections to help have more women in Parliament House.
