Two Dead, Five Critically Injured In Accident At Dadwene, Nzema East District.

A gory accident at Dadwene in the Nzema East District of the Western Region has claimed two lives and left five others critically injured.

According to Eyewitness, the incident happened after mourners returned from the mortuary where they had gone to retrieve the body of a lady from the community for her final funeral rites.

A 35 years Paa Solo,the driver of a Stanbec vehicle reportedly drove recklessly, lost control, and the vehicle somersaulted, killing two people on the spot.

The five critically injured victims are currently receiving treatment at Axim Government Hospital.

Residents say this is the first time the community has experienced such a tragic road accident.

They are calling on authorities to put in place strict road safety measures to curb similar incidents in the future.

“It’s really sad. We’re asking the authorities to act quickly so this doesn’t happen again,”

The five injured remain under medical care, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited to the mortuary.
