Youth Encouraged To Embrace Farming To Tackle Unemployment.

The Head of Protocol at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Justice Quram, is encouraging Ghanaian youth to embrace farming as a practical solution to the country’s unemployment challenge.

According to him, agriculture remains one of the most viable sectors for job creation if young people take it seriously.
He noted that modern farming goes beyond traditional methods and now includes agribusiness, technology, and value addition, which can be both profitable and sustainable.

The youth were urged to take advantage of government programs such as Feed Ghana, as well as support for crop production, livestock, and agro-processing.
He stressed that investing in agriculture will not only provide jobs but also help improve food security and reduce Ghana’s reliance on imported food.

Justice Quram made this known during the presentation of support to over one hundred and fifty food vendors at Agona Asafo in the Agona East District of the Central Region.
The food vendors received maize, beans, and rice as part of efforts to support and grow their businesses.

He has therefore appealed to the beneficiaries to make good use of the items they have received to help expand their businesses.
The Queen Mother of Agona Asafo, Nana Efua Nyarkoaah Bedewbesah II, also expressed gratitude to Justice Quram for his kind gesture to food vendors in the Agona Asafo community.

She urged the beneficiaries to put the items they have received to good use to improve their livelihoods.
Some of the food vendors who received the support also expressed gratitude to him for coming to their aid at this time.

They assured that they will work hard to better their lives and grow their businesses.
