Angry Gomoa Amoanda Residents Bareteeth At MP Over Abandoned Toilet Project After Winning Elections.

Angry Residents of Gomoa Amoanda in the Central Region are Bareteeth at the Member of Parliament Gomoa East Hon. Desmond Degraft Petu over abandoned toilet project after 2024 election.

According to some residents and the NDC branch chairman for the area, the abandoned project has become a source of embarrassment for party members, as residents continue to question why the facility has not been completed.

Some Angry Residents noted that, the absence of toilet facility in the community forces residents to practice open defecation which might spread diseases outbreak to citizens.

The aggrieved residents were speaking in an interview with Angel TV news reporter Opanyin Darko during an interview yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Unit Committee Chairman of the area has expressed disappointment over the situation hinting that, some residents have resulted to open defecating and disposing which is creating an unpleasant smell and sanitation challenges in the community.

He warned that the delay in completing the project could affect the MP’s relationship with the people, adding that residents appreciate leaders who fulfil promises, citing how former MP Hon. Kojo Asemanyi delivered on a promise to construct a sitting palace for chiefs in the community.
