Media personality Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, has made a bold declaration to the people of Gomoa West. He says the gods of Gomoa should strike him to death if he fails to fulfill his promises.

Captain Smart made the declaration during a visit to traditional leaders at the Adonten Division of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area in the Gomoa West Constituency of the Central Region.

He told the chiefs and people that he will not renege on any promise made to the people of Gomoa West.

According to Captain Smart, the declaration is to assure the people of his commitment to their development and welfare.

He added that the era where politicians seek votes before bringing development has no place in Gomoa West. He said anyone who wants to be elected as Member of Parliament must show a sign of commitment before being trusted with votes.

Captain Smart, who has cut the sod for the construction of numerous projects including health centers, school buildings, community centers and other developmental projects in Gomoa West, has called on the people to hold him accountable and support him to deliver.

He assured the traditional leaders that his focus is on bringing development to Gomoa West.

The Adontenhene of Gomoa Assin Traditional Area, Nana Obentin Kumah IX, also expressed gratitude to Captain Smart for the visit.

He urged Captain Smart to remain committed and focused on his vision for the benefit of Gomoa communities.
