MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS URGED TO PUT PATIENTS FIRST
The Superintendent Minister of the Old Tafo Methodist Church, Very Reverend Kwame Boakye Yiadom has urged doctors and nurses to prioritize the health of patients.
The pastor indicated that the healthcare of a patient is very important, therefore emphasized the need for medical Professionals to see to a compassionate delivery and quality care of patients who visit their facilities.
Addressing the press today to mark the 10 years anniversary celebration of the Old Tafo Methodist Medical Center under the theme ‘ Celebrating a Decade of Healing and Medical Excellence’, the man of God revealed that most health workers forget their core duties at the various facilities and instead concentrate more on their phones.
He further stated that prioritizing patients health is very crucial for delivering effective and compassionate healthcare, adding that by putting patients first, medical Professionals can improve health outcomes and build trust in the healthcare system.
On her part, Abigail Amponsem, the Nurse Manager of the medical center used the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to visit health facilities whenever they feel sick and refrain from self meditation
She further called on the government to prioritize the welfare of medical Professionals to motivate nurses to stay in the country rather than travel to seek greener pastures abroad.
