E/R Veep Commends Manya Krobo Traditional Council for Sustaining Peace

The Vice President of Ghana who doubles as flagbearer of the NPP Party  Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has commended the Manya Krobo Traditional Council in the Eastern Region for maintaining peace.

Speaking at the grand durbar of the  2024 Ngmayem Festival at Krobo Odumase, he stated that, the unique culture attributions and tremendous developments in the area are as a result of hard work, self determination and unity among the people in the traditional area.

According to him, without peace, there will be no developments so therefore he is appealing to all chiefs and queen mothers of the traditional council to take advantage of their role to preach peace to enable them maintain the peaceful environment which is in existence.

On the part of Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Council who doubles as the president of Eastern Regional House of Chiefs  Nene Sackitey II pledged support to ensure peace before, during and after the elections in the region which he urged electoral commission to take proactive measures to ensure peaceful exercise.

He therefore appeal to  Dr Bawumiah to come to their aid as individuals and land commission has sold the lands of their ancestral home called Krobo Mountain to private investors.
