Addressing the gathering in a durbar to commission the Police Station, Dr. Agyemang Budu said the motive behind this police station is to enhance commitment to the security and safety of the community.

Adding that, the police station will not only provide a safe environment for the citizens but will serve as a symbol of hope and trust in the enforcement of law.

While commending the Akuffo Addo-Bawumia -led government for their effort to strengthen law and order in the country, Dr. Agyemang Budu called on the people of Asotwe to see the police as their friends and not enemies as they are not there to intimidate them, but rather protect them.

On behalf of IGP Dr. Dampare, the Ashanti South Police Commander, DCOP George Ankomah, called on the residents of Ejisu-Asotwe to support the work of the police by giving them the necessary information regarding crime since policing is a shared responsibility.
