Ghanaians Urged On Bushfire And Cutting Down Of Trees To Destroy Our Forest Reservation. Dr. Sam Essiamah
Dr. Sam Essiamah , a Ghanaian Born forest Research Scientists Doctor based in Germany has urge Ghanaians over unnecessary cutting down of trees and setting up bushfires to destroy Ghanaians Forest reserve.
However, he has planted over 1000 free in some various schools in Agona Nyarkrom and established an environmental Training Center to give training to the youth on how to protect the environment and also teach farmers on how to use natural ways of spraying their farms.
Speaking with Nana Kojo Asare Angel TV Reporter, Dr. Essiamah emphasize on the Chemicals farmers use for spraying has poised the foods we eat. He therefore urge them to embrace the national ways.
According to him, this year harmattan will be very hire and Ghanaians should prepare very well before going out, this is due to unnecessary cutting down of tree so the forestry Commission should emback on a National wide Tree planting to correct .
Meanwhile some headmasters who have benefit for the tree planting program also appeal to the government to support Dr. Sam Essiamah to expand it to the other District.
