Mfantseman’s Water Crisis A Community’s Plight

The Mfantseman Constituency in Ghana’s Central Region has been facing a severe water crisis for about four months, affecting hospitals, schools, shops, and individuals.

The MP, Hon Dr. Ebenezer Kojo Arhine, has taken notice and is working to address the issue by excavating the main stream of the Ghana Water Company site to ensure a steady water supply.

In this case, the MP’s initiative to excavate the main stream is a step towards addressing the water crisis. However, sustained efforts and collaboration will be necessary to ensure a long-term solution.

Dr. Arhine continues to say that, in an interview with Douglas Oyiboh, he has been able to supply water in various places, including hospitals, schools, and big companies, for everyday use.

For this time around, he needs more support to dredge this stream to get water to supply. Again, his plans for now are to drill boreholes in the local communities, but he can’t do it alone, calling for support from individuals, NGOs, and philanthropists to assist him in building Mfantseman without the water crisis pandemic.

In other side he urge his constituents not to politicize it and all come together as one people to solve the problems .

Lastly he lamented that this water crisis lead to sanitations issues.
