Ashanti NDC Youth Wing Demand Immediate Reversal Of Discriminatory Youth Appointments

The Ashanti Regional Youth Wing of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have demanded an immediate reversal of discriminatory youth appointments and proper inclusion of Youth Wing leadership in relevant institutions.

According to the Ashanti Regional NDC Youth Wing, campaigning in the region for the party was like leading troops through hostile territory.

Despite limited resources and a complete lack of financial support from their regional executives, they pressed on village to village, door to door at their greatest personal cost, enduring threats and intimidations, yet remaining unwavering in their resolve.

Speaking at a presser, the Deputy Director for the Youth Wing, Abraham Lincoln, said their contributions have not merely been supportive but been foundational.

“Following the party’s victory, it was promised that every Youth Organizer across the various constituencies would be appointed as a *Y.E.A Director*which motivated us to selflessly campaign for the party.

However, after faithfully submitting their credentials as instructed, we were dismayed to discover that the list of names had been altered without any explanation.”

They are therefore demanding an immediate reversal of discriminatory youth appointments and proper inclusion of Youth Wing leadership.

The Youth Wing have therefore given the National Executives of the party, the Ashanti Regional Minister and some other individuals in the party a week ultimatum to address their concerns or face a further worsening action from them.
